Definition of IP / Gateway
We will require 3 IPs per BSC, 1 for ESB in MCMU 0 / LANU 0
2nd IP for MCMU 1 / LANU 1. 3rd IP for OMU.

Log in to ESB0. Define IP

Define Gateway IP
Self Ping, Ping Gateway
Same way we need to define ESB1.

VLAN Definition
We need to define VLAN to restrict broadcast and flooding

Create VLAN in ESB0/1

Configure VLAN. Add ports 1,2,19,26,24 in VLAN in tagged
mode

Add port 11,22 in untagged mode in VLAN

Remove all ports from Default VLAN

Multi Spanning Tree Protocol

We need to enable MSTP to avoid loop in transmission

Enable MSTP is the command, we need to enable in both
ESB cards.

Rest commands of MSTP are standard will be circulated in

procedure.

Inter ESB linkage

We need to establish communication between to ESB cards.

This is required in order to log in from any ESB to BSC OMU.
We require Patch Cord in High Cap BSC to connect two ESB
card.
In 660 BSC, it is found that inter connecting cable is missing
(BSCC_340)

BSC OMU definition

Define IP in OMU. EL0, EL1 interfaces will be used. IP will be

physical. ZQRN

Define static route in BSC. ZQKC, Route will be Physical.

Checks:- If all the Tx in thro then, one must get ping response
of gateway from BSC ( ZQRX) and both ESB Cards.

From ESB0, one must get ping of BSC and 2 nd ESB

and vice-versa
