NEW DINER &

COFFEE STOP
Skinny Vic's is a family-owned diner and coffee stop which offers great food with a fun atmosphere.
They serve breakfast and lunch daily, including smoothies, specialty coffees and a full bar. It is located at 335 E. Washington St., Slinger, and its hours are from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It started in 1997, when Vicki Lehnerz had dinner at The Barley Pop Pub in Germantown and thought
it looked like a fun place to work. She asked if they were hiring and ended up working there for 14
years. She fell in love with the food and hospitality industry when she realized that she could change
lives by serving food and drink.
Vicki worked her way into management and worked closely alongside the part owner and General
Manager. When she decided to sell her part of the business, all of the managers went out for a last
"hurrah" to celebrate their times together.
They ended up going to a place called Fat Charlies on Hwy. 175 in Richfield. Across the street from
Fat Charlies is a beautiful brick building with great big windows in the front (It happened to be for
sale at the time). Vicki made mention about what a great storefront it would make.
A friend commented, "You could open Skinny Vic's across the street from Fat Charlies." They
laughed. It was then that Skinny Vic's was born. Now six year's later Vicki wouldn't name her own
business anything BUT Skinny Vic's.
