My name is Mark Gray, I am contacting you regarding the Project Safety Manager position
(Req ID 7272), posted on the Turner Careers web page in the Los Angeles/Anaheim office
network. Included are my credentials and resume detailing my construction, job-site safety
and management experience.
After reviewing the Turner website, the commitment to teamwork, integrity and making a
difference in the community through innovation, sustainability and safety is clear. I am
currently in my senior year at Washington State University (WSU) and will be graduating in
December with a B.A. degree in Management and Operations. My background in
commercial construction coupled with the refined management skills acquired at WSU puts
me in the position to be an asset to Turner Construction and be part of a team that strives to
meet and exceed organizational goals.
During my time as a commercial glazier with Local 188, Seattle, I was part of many
complex, unique and demanding projects. Safely completing tasks was always a priority and
many hours of training and planning went into solving complex issues. I am a certified
trainer in aerial lift, forklift and suspension apparatus with 10+ years of hands on experience,
combined with first-aid/CPR and OSHA 30 certifications. My time at WSU has provided me
the opportunity to gain critical skills in management processes and leadership skills. In
addition, I have become proficient with MS Office suite and fine-tuned my written and verbal
communication skills. My background and experience provides skills that will be a value to
Turner Construction moving forward.
