School Reunion
This is true that the past never comes back, but even so reaching of people to the
height of success in their future is based on their experiences. This aspect helps the
individuals to maintain their memories and then change their actions and behaviours
according to it. Human behaviour also tends to be affected by a school reunion. This is
because reuniting with the past would bring a lot of emotions and reflections, and hence
result in changing the human nature. It is about focusing just for a while on what has been
accomplished until now.
There are several such kinds of WJEC board-based schools, which announce High
School Reunions, and usually, it has been organised after every fifty years. Last year a WJEC,
board-based High Schools organised a reunion for the batch of 1960. Some selected
individuals from a particular batch played an important part of the reunion as their task was
find all their classmates, whether they were the class clowns or class nerds. Steve was
selected for this task specifically due to his past interactions with the entire class, and being
the representative of the batch.
Searching the classmates that were available at similar places as before had been an
easy job for Steve. However, looking for those classmates who had moved out to other
regions and faraway places was a hard row to hoe. At the time when all the committee
members had decided to organise the reunion, Steve had visited the school, which was indeed
an unforgettable visit for him. He was remembering all the times he spent there. When he
passed the corridor of the school, the security guard had forbidden him from gouging inside
the classes. That very second, the bell rung and students started to rush out from their classes.
It was hard for Steve to grip himself with his emotions. He started to cry a little, while
remembering the past.

After sometime, he realised that new students are here, and this is their time, making
their own memories. Even so, Steve reminded himself that life goes on and it does not stay
the same, even when these changes occur in different things, people in particular. When he
was a student, this school was more than just a school for him just as if it was his second
home. Things were definitely different, but he still had hoped that they would allow him to go
inside in order to search for his classmates.
Coming back to the event, the height of excitement between the invited classmates
was indefinable. There were some people who were not ready to recall their experiences and
therefore did not attend. Similarly, there were some classmates, who were not in contact with
Steve and therefore they also did not appear at the event. Worst of all was finding out that the
class toper had died some time ago. He used to help and assist his classmates back in their
time, and was like a second hand to all of them.
In the reunion, each and every single ex-student had interesting stories, and
experiences to share. The best part of this reunion is that there are so many people who are
not in contact with anyone and this reunion provide them with the opportunity of meeting
everyone after such a long time, but even then, it does not affect their past bonds. Reunion is
further presented with opportunity in reliving the golden days of school and connecting with
all the friends. Many classmates had lost touch with each other for a longer period and all of
them had desired to meet each other, at least once in this lifetime. Indeed, good friends are
impossible to forget even after so many years. Time does not matter; it is about the special
connection friends have.
The challenging task for Steve was to call a female classmate who had been living in
a foreign country. He tried his best in collecting her details and information, and after putting
all his efforts, he finally got in touch with her. The reunion turned out extremely grand and

amazing. The event was an incredible opportunity for the classmates of batch 1960 in order to
meet with their friends and relive the old days. With this reunion, these people might not have
come together like this. Many individuals came closer to each other as well.
The start of the reunion was a glorious one and it contained many surprises for the
guests. These surprises included the appearance of those students who were not coming. The
event showed the photographs of past events. The event also had a dance floor and everybody
started dancing the minute the songs were put on. The moment became more mesmerizing
when some particular old songs had been put on, bringing back past memories and reliving
them after so many years. All the classmates started dancing, laughing, and sharing their
stories. Even after meeting, a long time did no change anything. They were old friends.
The energy in the hall was noticeable, and the youngsters of the school were enjoying
the reunion in the same way. One of classmates made an announcement that he will happy to
bear the expenses of five students who are studying in the school and that those students who
are suffering from financial issues because of poverty. On this amazing gesture, Steve said,
He was the heart of class and I am proud to see such amazing contribution.
Steve had also indicated that people are different from one another. They faced
different controversial factors, quarrels, and friendship holds these people together, in good
and bad times. After all of that, the guests had enjoyed dinner and drinks. This reunion had
been identified as the Reunion Guru because of the event being extremely popular and
people enjoyed a lot. This had been purchased by different schools to follow, because it was
about remembering the past and making more memories.
This reunion had provided a platform to the students of batch 1960 for sharing their
experiences and it remained an opportunity for the current student as well, to observe the

lives that would be lived by them at the school there. Now, the 61th reunion will also be
organised in the schools that would contribute as another platform for remembering
memories and making new ones as well. The reunion had provided a chance for people to
reminisce with old friends, a chance to share some memories and to play their songs again.
Time does change a lot of things, it might reduce the hairline, bring some wrinkles on
the face, the hair might turn grey, but there are some things that time will never change: the
old bonds, sharing past memories over and over again, friendships, the laughter, and the time
spent together. These things last a lifetime. Even though, some friends might not be among
us, but the time spent together would last forever and will never be forgotten.
