Designing Department:

Process:
1. Adaptation (pictures with size and area marked in red) is sent to designing department
for art work.
2. Designing department works on art work in adobe photo-shop, adobe illustrator, corel
draw, in-page, 3d max, auto-cade or in any other software which is required for that
art work.
3. Normally psd files/cdr are produced through adobe and then from those psd files
JPEG files are produced for clients viewing.
4. If approval comes from client then marketing sends job order to the designing
department then psd files/cdr files are exported to EPS (Encapsulated Post Script)
format by designing and sent to printing departments.
5. It is important to note that pixels become dull when zooming in adobe while in corel
dots dont become dull when zooming.
6. Sometimes art work is received from client and sometimes designing department has
to produce art work.
Research and Development (R&D) Department:
Process:
1. Job order and pictures are received from concerned person/marketing.
2. It is cleared from job order that demand is whether regarding counter top, rack,
gondola etc.
3. R&D calculates cost per unit and sends to concerned person.
4. If cost is approved then R&D gets requisition signed from marketing head.
5. Then R&D asks Lahore office for line work.
6. When line works comes from Lahore, R&D does the cutting on router accordingly.
7. Painting etc is done and frames and sheets are made by R&D then rack etc (whatever
is demanded) is prepared.
Material used:
Lasani (size = 8 X 4) or 1 inch.
Acrylic (size = 6 X 4 or 8 X 4) 2mm to 15mm, is of two types transparent and milky.
Alpolic (size = 8 X 4) 4mm.
Home board.
High impact sheet.
Paint.
Important points:

R&D has CNC router for sheet cuttings.
