My name is Caitlin Teetor and I am a teacher candidate from West Virginia State University. I anticipate to graduate in May of 2016 with a 5-adult social studies education degree. I will be available to work as soon as I have graduated from college. I would be an excellent candidate for a social studies teaching position as I am a motivated individual and care about the teaching field. Teaching has always been the field that I saw as my future. I care not only about teaching the content, but also about providing a safe, focused environment in which students can effectively learn. Being a teacher is not just a job to me, it is something that drives my life. I want to be a teacher because I can see the good that can come from the exchange of knowledge from the teacher to the student and also the benefit of having someone who cares in a child or adolescent's life. My professional portfolio contains all of the activities, education, and jobs during the time of when I first entered college in August of 2011 up until todays time. The first part contains my entire academic career including GPA and work experience. The second part shows my view on education and how I wish to conduct my classroom. The third part shows how I am a dedicated individual towards the education field. The fourth and last part shows my reflection on my life as a future educator. I am available to interview at your earliest convenience during the times that I do not have class. Feel free to call and leave a message if I do not answer. Sincerely yours, Caitlin Teetor
