4. The common problems that they encounter in dispensing drugs
According to Stephen Rae G. Fontanilla, Pharm D., the system is not fully
automated. They are using the semi-automated system.
5. How do they counsel patients?
The pharmacists always take the initiative to counsel their patients, both inpatient and out-patient. In addition, they believe that it is their duty to go beyond
drugsto inform and counsel the patients not only about their medications, but
also about the non-drug aspects such as the lifestyle of the patients. The duration,
frequency, interactions and other information about the patients medications are
being provided in the counseling.

For example, in terms of antibiotics, they always point out to the patients that they
should complete the duration of therapy.
