    It is possible to understand power as a positive force

    The idea of power often comes with a negative


    stereotype, but this isnt the case with everyone who
    pursues power. The quest for power is often pursued by
    those who are longing to use the power to pursue their
    own agenda, but many who have been thrown into
    power are the exact opposite. When power is given to
    someone who was not already after it they often dont
    know what to do, so they end up using it for a different
    purpose. The reasons they make their decisions may
    not to be to advance themselves, but may be deployed
    for a majority or selfless reasons. Wes was once
    powerless towards his superior family and striving for
    his own power to become a lawyer, but because of his
    fathers power and involvement with the familys name,
    power was thrust upon him. Because Julian pushed
    Wes into being a sheriff, Wes didnt have the desire to
    hold onto the position. People who look constantly for
    power struggle to find a balance between their own
    agenda and what the power is intended for.
