Honor Society Students Pledge to abide by the Honor Code, to actively
encourage others to do so and to report all infractions of the Honor Code to the President or Sponsor when they first become aware of these.
Honor Society Honor Code for 2015-2016
Scholarship Honor Students neither give nor receive help on an individual test or graded assignment unless explicitly given permission to do so by the responsible teacher. Honor Students will not submit written work for grading nor present written work as their own if it is not responsibly cited or scrupulously articulated in their own unique words. Honor Students will conduct themselves in classrooms with respect toward others, open commitment to learning and quiet dignity. Honor Students will strive to complete assignments of all kinds with attention to detail, effort and neatness. Character Honor Students will celebrate their own individuality and the individuality of others by showing tolerance, promoting kindness and speaking out against cruelty. Honor Students will accept responsibility for their own actions. Honor Students will not lie, steal, vandalize or commit forgery, will report these infractions and encourage others who commit such offenses to acknowledge them. Honor Students will refrain from improper and offensive speech and encourage others to do so. Honor Students will be familiar with school policies, seek clarification when necessary and provide this information to others. Citizenship Honor Students will represent their school in a manner that reflects positively on the school community, its staff and students. Honor Students will participate in school activities and encourage others to do so. Honor Students will work with other student organizations to promote positive school morale. Service Honor Students will dedicate their time to providing service to individuals in the school, to the improvement of the school and the immediate community. A minimum hourly service will be required of each member.
