Great Lakes Regional Chili Cook-off
When: 10/4/15
Where: Downtown Plymouth
In its 20th year, Plymouth's annual chili cook-off keeps getting bigger,
better and more discriminating. If chili doesn't do it for you, there will
also be a car show, live bands and a charity fundraiser.
International Festival
When: 10/10/15 through 10/11/15
Where: Southfield Pavilion
(2014 Motor City Navy Birthday Ball Celebration)
The event encompasses not only its namesake marathon -- now in its
38th year -- but a five-person relay, a half-marathon run/walk, a 5K
run/walk and a kid's fun run. The course runs through historic neighborhoods and crosses through the Detroit-Windsor
Tunnel and over the Ambassador Bridge.
The Health & FItness Expo takes place at Cobo Center on October 16th and 17th. The 5K and Kids Fun Run now takes
place on Saturday, October 17th.
Edgefest
When: 10/21/15 through 10/24/15
Where: Kerrytown Concert House, Ann Arbor
In its 19th year, Edgefest focuses on exploring new music by by both
international trumpeters, cornetists, and flugelhorn players.
Schedule performances include Peter Evans, Taylor Ho Bynum 7tette, Joe McPhee's Survival Unit III, and Leimgruber / Demierre /
Phillips.
Fringe at the Edge includes workshops, discussions, Fringe (free,
open-to-the-public) performances at area restaurants and galleries.
Three-day passes start at $135. Tickets for individual performances can
also be purchased at the door of a concert site with cash or check.
Detroit Fall Beer Festival
When: 10/23/15 through 10/24/15

The 7th Annual Detroit Fall Beer Festival is an event that showcases more than 600 craft beers from over 75 Michigan
breweries and includes local entertainment and food by local restaurants. Admission starts at $40 if you buy in advance
and includes 15 beer tokens.
