The perturbation quantities are inputed as,

U= u+A
V= v+B
= +C
T= T+D
P= p+E
Here the first term of the expansion on the RHS represents the steady, laminar solution of
the mean flow. (Thus, v=0.)
The second term represents the perturbation quantity. Thus,
A = u'
B = v'
C = '
D = T'
E = p'

The perturbation quantities have no restrictions placed on them and are assumed to vary
in time and space (i.e., along the radial and the azimuthal coordinates)
In the derivation of the linearized perturbation equation, we shall force out p and p from
our set using the ideal gas law (p= RT). Thus, we shall end up with 4 equations
(continuity, radial and azimuthal momentum, energy) for 4 perturbation quantities
(A,B,C,D).
The final set of perturbation equations is linearized, that is the product of 2 or
more perturbation quantities or their derivatives has been ignored.
After adding the perturbation quantities and linearlizing, we get

These equations were derived from the energy equation, continuity, radial momentum
and azimuthal momentum equations, respectively. The only simplification is that, the
mean flow components are assumed time independent and the base (mean) azimuthal
velocity is assumed zero.

For the energy equation, a non-conservative form is used. But this should not make a
difference as we have continuity in our set of equations and there are no control volume
formulations.
