A person I really admire

MY BROTHER

The person I admire most is Tomek – my brother . He is twenty one years old. He is slim and
very tall. He has short, brown hair and blue eyes.

Tomek is my older brother. He studies political science at the University of Cardinal Stefan
Wyszyński. Tom’s passion is football. Tom and his friends from university play in amatour
football league. Tom is a big fan of the Italian club – AC Milan. Tom loves music: old school
rap and hip-hop. He also loves reading books , his favorite book is “The Witcher”. His
hobbies are fishing and computer games . He can play “Football Manager” all day long.

Tom is helpful, he always helps me with my homework and when I have any problems. Every
time when I need something, Tom gets me what I want, he is really friendly. He is very
clever, he has a lot of interesting things to say when my parents talk about history or politics.
Tom is very sociable person, every weekend he goes to a party to meet his friends.
Sometimes he gets angry. Tom is ambitious, he can combine his studies and work. He wants
to a be lawyer. He is a great brother.

My great-grandfather

I would like to say something about my great-grandfather. His name was Jurek. He was born
in January 1936 and he died in 2009. He was very old (73 years is a lot of time). When he was
young he played soccer. He gotno money for his play just a chocolate bar for each match.
He played on a stadium called “Stadion Dziesięciolecia”, well-known in Poland because it'll
be the Polish National Football Stadium. Later he worked in “FSO”, it's a car factory in
Warsaw. After that he worked in small shop, it was shop with watches. Than he retired. He
had wife Barbara , she died much earlier than him. They had 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl- my
grandmother. My great-grandfather lived with his family in a small flat in Warsaw, near the
center of the town. He was a very interesting person. I loved him very much, he was a good

MY MUM…
The person I adore most is my mum. Her name is Hanna. She is in her thirties. When she was
18 she met my father, they fell in love and got married.

She is of medium height. She is rather slim.

She has blue eyes and long dark hair.
She sometimes wears a ponytail. She is very
pretty. She often wears jeans and T-shirts. She
likes casual clothes. Her favourite colour is
black and she often buys black clothes. She
rarely wears a make-up but she looks very nice.
She is an attractive woman.

I love my mum very much. I can always rely on

her. She never lets me down. I can tell her
everything. She is very helpful. She loves her
family. She often meets them and looks after
her parents. She likes taking photos and looking
at them. She is easy-going and have a lot of
friends. She likes meeting her friends. She can
always find time for me and my little sister,
Natalia.

She is a well organised woman. She always knows what to do. She is a very ambitious and
hard-working person. She is very pedantic. She doesn’t like driving very fast. She is a careful
driver. She loves shopping. She is a housewife but she always wanted to be a doctor. She
loves children.

She loves plants and gardens. She often buys new plants. Our garden is one of the most
beautiful gardens in Chotomów.

She likes visiting interesting places . She is going to visit Greece in February. She is keen on
horse-riding. She would like to go to the Olympic Games in the future. She loves going to
concerts. Her favourite music groups „Bony M” and „Boys”.

She used to play volleyball when she was at school. She is still interested in sport. She often
watches sport on TV, especially handball and volleyball. She loves dancing. She taught me to
dance.

When she was a little girl she had a lot of ideas. She used to do creative interesting things. My
mum is one of my best friends. I’m proud of her.

My Mum

The person I admire the most is

my mother. Her name is Ewa.
She sets an example to me how
to be a good person. Her hair is
long, curly and blond . She is
medium height and she have got
green eyes. I admire her because
she is very intelligent and fair.
She is very important to me,
because she teaches me to be
better person every day. She is the kind of person you can always trust
and she always smiles.

The First Person

The first person who came to my mind when I’ve read the topic of this essay was my dad, Przemek.

He is quite well-built, tall man in his very late thirties. On his face there are brown eyes,
middle-larged nose, a beard and a great smile. His hair is short and brown. He has got a golden
earring in his left ear (I like it really much). My dad usually wears casual clothes – some t-shirt or
sweatshirt (depends on the weather) and jeans.

I think my dad is reliable like anyone else. You can trust him – he hardly ever messes things up. He
also has a got strong willpower and he’s a very determined person. If he decides to do something,
he’ll definitely do it, no matter what. I think this is a great quality. I can say my dad is extrovertic,
intelligent, emphatic and amusing too.

He likes riding on his motorcycles (normal and enduro), watching political programs and good
movies, listening to the music, reading books and going to the gym.

I admire him cause he can face any problem and solve it successfully and he takes from life
everything it offers.

His opinion means much to me. I really like spending time with him and I love him really much!

Sylwester – my grandpa

The person I admired most was my grandfather – Sylwester. He was my

father’s dad. He was 69 when we met last time.

He always had a smile on his face and I never saw him sad. When I was
coming back from school my grandfather always asked me: “ How are things?”
And I always answered “Ok”

My grandfather was a very hardworking and reliable person. He had lots

of friends because he never refused when someone asked him for help.

I can tell you how he looked despite the fact that a lot of time passed
since our last meeting. He was tall and slim, always naturally suntanned with
black, spiky hair.

He loved to wear sports clothes because when he was young he was a

rally driver. He was always honest and ambitious and these are the features my
family have always admired and wanted to have.

My grandfather was a very open and a talkative person and I could tell
him everything and he was always very understanding. I would like to be like
him because he always knew what to do when he was in trouble.

I spent lot of time with my grandpa. We were doing DIY, walking in the
forests and playing word-games. We were so happy when we spent time
together.

My grandfather died three years ago, but I will always remember him. He
was the most big-hearted person I have ever met in my life.
