WhatisAcademyHighSchool?
AcademyHighSchoolisandwillalwaysbethehomeofSkyviewsaspiring
technologicalandengineericalstudents.Beingacorporationbasedontheprinciplesof
science,technology,engineeringandmathematics,thestudentsandstaffherewill
experiencethebeginningofanewandimprovedfuture.HereatAcademywelook
outsidetheboxfortheanswersweareseeking.Thestudentslaughinthefaceof
easiness,andalwaystrytogoaboveandbeyondwhatisrequiredofthem.Wearea
grandcommunitywelcominganyandallthatarethinkingofjoiningorsimplyhopingfor
anallyship.Weacceptdifferencesbecauseeverypersonhastheirownopinion,and
theirideamightjustbetheonetosavetheworld.(ThanksMr.Penny).
AtAcademyHighSchoolweareveryenthusiasticaboutpromotingand
supportingthosearoundus.Wewantpeopletosucceedsowecouldseethemgoto
infinityandbeyond.Notonlydothestudentsworryoftheiracademicsbuttheirteachers
andparentsaregreatlyinvolvedaswell.ThisiswhatmakesAcadmeyagreatsourceof
camaraderieandcompanionship.Wedo
NOT
havethesimpleteacherstudentrelation
whereyoucomein,dowork,andgoout,wehavesomethingevenbetter.Herewehave
havefriendships,advisors,andevenguardianguidance.Astudentwillneverbefound
aloneatAcademybecausehereweareaOhana,wherenobodygetsleftbehind.
AcademyHighSchoolisascientificlaboratoryfullofexcellentteachers,unopened
books,andadvancedtechnology.Studentsofallagescometolearnfromthosewho
arewillingtoteachofthenewfuturethus,thismycuriousreaderiswhatAcademy
HighSchoolis.

TheProcess
ThecreationoftheWolvetomBoltsurprisinglytookusfourdaystocomplete.
Duringthistimewehandmademultipledesignsthathelpedusalongthewaytothefinal
outline.Whenwefirstbeganthisprojectwethoughtweweremakingalogoforthe
entiretyofSkyview.Thuswefirstmadeideasaboutawolverinewithclawmarks.After
wewerereaffirmedthatitwasonlyforAcademywebroughtinmoreideasabout
scienceandtechnology.Withthesenewtopicswetookawaysomeoftheclawmarks
andinsteadmadethewolverineintoalightningboltsignifyingthatAcademystudents
areasfastaslightning.Later,afteraquitedebateamongstourteammateswedecided
toincorporateapartoftheoldAcademylogointothenewone.Withthenewadditions
ofthetwocurvesandreddotwecleanedupthepictureanddigitalizedittomakeitlook
geometrical.
EachcolorontheWolvetomBoltrepresentsasignificantfactorofAcademies
ideals.Purplewasthefirstmajorcolorwedecidedourlogoneeded.MapletonPublic
Schoolscolorispurple,whichrepresentsroyaltyandprosperity.Wedecidedthecurves
surroundingtheWolverinewouldbepurplebecausewewantedtoletothersknowthat
thestudentsherethriveandaresurroundedbyopportunities.Bluewasdeemedthe
nextvaluedcoloronourlogolist.Wegaveourwolverinealightblueoutlinetosignify
thechemistrythatengulfsAcademiesstudents.Withbluewewerentnecessarily
lookingatitsmeaningbutmoreofhowwesawitinnaturaldisasters.Weusedtheidea
ofbluelightningandfiretofuelourideasastheyaresomeofthemosthottestand
powerfulforcesontheEarth.Redwasthefinalmajorcolorwedecidedtoaddontoour

logo,howeverwedidnotwantitsoverbearinglightingtotakeawayfromtheothers.
Thuswecreatedasingledotplacedinthemouthofthewolverinetorepresentthefact
thatwearefierceandwillripanybodyapartiftheymesswithourAcademyfamily.
Lastly,greyandblackwerebasicallyjustfillercolorsandremainsoftheoldlogo.
LogoofAcademy
OurlogogreatlyrepresentsthecommunityandintelligenceofAcademylife.Not
onlydoesitshowothersthatwearebravewolverineswhocanfirewithfire,butitgives
studentsasenseofdignityandconfidence.ThislogobestrepresentsAcademyHigh
Schoolbygivingtheaudienceafirstlookintothenearfuture.Withamixtureof
curiosity,responsibility,andcouragetheWolvetomBoltproducestheperfectsceneof
chaos.Academyisa
S.T.E.M
schoolteachingandlookingforstudentswhowantto
changethefuture.Thus,ourlogogoeshandinhandwithit,bringingoutthebestof
bothworlds.

Research
Whilecreatingourlogowevisitedvariousonlineresourcesandnetworkedwith
fellowstudentsandcommunitymembers.Oneofthefirstideasweresearchedwasthe
shapeofourWolvetomBolt.WhilegatheringdataaroundAcademieshallswefound
thatmultiplestudentslikedtheideaofclawmarksandchemicals.Whileresearching
onlinesourcesastowhattheycouldmeanwefoundsomescaryparanormalstuff,
whichinthiscase,wehopethatpeopledidntlikethemforthis.Seeingthisidea
headingforaroadblock,wesearchedgoogleanddiscoveredavarietyofsciencelogos
andtechnologicallogosthathelpedustodeterawayfromtheideaoftheparanormal.
Eventuallywegatheredmoreopinionsfromstudentsandgottotheideaoftheatom.
Usingtheinitialdesignofanatom,whichconsistsofelectronsorbitinganucleus,we
enclosedthepastclawmarkswiththeorbitingcyclesoftheelectrons.Likinghowthings
werelookingwedecidedasagrouptoaddsomefinaldesigns.
Oncewehadtheinitialdesigndownwelookedupthemeaningofcolorstofill
ourpicturewithsomepizazz.Wedidnotwanttostraytoofardownfromouroriginal
black,silver,white,andpurplecolorsthuswekeptmostoftheminourdesign.While
lookingatthemeaningswefoundthatpassionatered,andconfidentbluefitAcademies
billjustaswell.Notwantingtooverbearourlogowithsuchnewcolors,welimitedthem
sothattheycouldemphasizeandmakethelogopopmorewiththeirsmallbutlarge
presence.
