Asimovs Laws of Robotics Response

I have only seen these laws implemented in a movie I watched called The Iron Giant
which was a story about a boy who finds a giant robot from outer space.
Long story short, the Iron Giant never attempted to injure any human until he saw or
detected weaponry which was why he was sent to earth in the first place.(To destroy all human
weapons).
Although sometimes ignored, Hogarth (The main character) would constantly tell the him what
he should and should not do, and the robot would do as he said.
At the end of the movie the Iron Giant sacrifices himself to save the town from a missile which
leads us to law number three which states that A robot must protect its own existence as long
as such protection does not conflict with the first and second law and law number one says
...or through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. which justifies what he did as
correct.
