Report Writing

Report writing is an important skill. In

university and in many jobs, you need
to able to write a report
The purpose of a report is to present
information clearly and simply as
possible.
Analytical : thinking
means you break a big
topic into smaller parts so
you can better
languange
understand it .

Report should :
o Be written in formal
o Have a clear stucture
o Show analytical* thinking

Reports are very different from

essays . Here are some of difference :

Is meant to be read quickly

statement of opinion

Reports need to have a clear structure

In the Introduction , you give some
context, and state the purpose of the
report .
School club
School clubs are an important part of school life , and for
many students are a fun away to make new friends and
learn new skills. The students Association did some
research to try and find out how many students are
involved in school clubs.
