EC 7 Pre Service Teacher

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a Fourth Year Murdoch University Practical
Student. Throughout my Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education I have undertaken many
practical experiences in a range of lower primary classrooms in Perth and surrounding suburbs. For my
final practical component I decided to seek further knowledge and widen my skillset and experience
through country teaching. I applied for a country placement with a University program and was
successfully appointed a placement at O Connor Primary School for the duration of Term Three.
As part of the first three weeks of my practical placement I have been increasing my role within the
classroom to gradually undertake activities and programing under the direct supervision of Miss Ace.
From Week Four I will be conducting all planning, events, assessment and daily activities for the
following seven weeks of term. This placement is designed to increase my role in stages and
implement my growing knowledge and theory into a working classroom.
I am a very dedicated and motivated person with a strong passion in education, specifically early
childhood teaching and learning. My aim is to help your child become a confident learner and excel to
their best abilities, where together we can accomplish many new skills and experience new findings
with an eager and exciting outlook. I am always available for a chat before and after school.
I am looking forward to the following seven weeks of term and needless to say, I am very thankful and
appreciative of the opportunity to work in such a learning-rich environment.

Kind Regards,
Chloe Thorpe
