ABSTRACT

IUD (intra uterine device) Contraception is adevice inserted into the uterus
to prevent pregnancy. It is effective, reversible, and long lasting. It can be used for
woman at the age of productive. Active family planning participant at
PuskesmasWaringinKurung 2014 year is 5356 PUS and people are using IUD is
315 (5.6%)
The analytic research is using cross sectional. Population of this research
is Family planning since January-August 2015 with 786 acceptors and sample is
110 people. 55 acceptors is IUD user and 55 acceptors is Non-IUD. The data
analysis is using univariat and bivariate and also statistic test is using chi square
Result of research is derived Non-risk age majority is 67.3%, high
education majority is 53.6%, less than 2 children majority is 58.2%, jobless is
86.4%. Chi-square statistic test result is derived age versus IUD user with value
p-value = 0.067. Correlation IUD user with amount of children is p-value = 0,033.
Correlation IUD user with a job is p-value 0,005.
PuskesmasWaringinKurung could be giving information to woman with
the productivity age 15-39 years old in the event such as Posyandu, Pengajian,
mother room class. The purpose is easy to explain about long-term family
planning acceptor and wishing IUD user is more
