Since the last TRICOR board meeting, there have been several meetings and discussions between our teams concerning pricing of the standard meal. It has become clear today that cost is not something the department's budget can sustain for more than a short period of time. Asa result, it is imperative that the department move in a new direction. The department will expedite the issuance of an RFP for food services in an effort to obtain the best value for taxpayer dollars going forward. We anticipate issuing the RFP by mid-September with a view toward having a contract in place effective January 1, 2016. | certainly welcome and encourage participation by TRICOR in the RFP process as a competitive vendor. In the meantime, the department acknowledges and will honor TRICOR’s quoted price today of $3.84 per standard meal through December 31, 2015, hope that this course of action will prove beneficial to both parties. | value our partnership, and look forward to a continued mutually beneficial relationship.
