Target Audience:

Demographic Profile

Age?
My target age will be between 15-30,
younger audiences tend to be more
interested in thrillers and horror films
and will be more likely to want to
watch due to wanting the thrill.

Gender?
My targeted gender for my thriller
will be towards both genders as
thriller conventions appeal to both
genders and this offers a wider
choice of audience to appeal to.

Background?
The audience background I am targeting is the
average/typical background. These will be able to
afford to go out to the cinema and watch films or
buy new DVDs when they are released. Their
family life will be varied, many younger people
may not have children, which gives them more
time to watch films, however if they do watching
a film could be their valued leisure time.

Interests?

My audience will be interested in films/television

and other media and film related items. They will
be interested in relaxing and unwinding which will
leave time to watch television.

They will also enjoy socialising and hanging out

with friends due to both their young age and
wanting to be social. They may hang out with
friends at places like the cinema, pubs/bars or
recreational areas.

Other Media?
They may be interested in TV shows of the thriller
genre that also appeal to a younger audience.
These could be shows such as:

They will be into video games that

hold adventure and experience
within them, such as:

Demographics:

My thriller reaches out to

all types of
demographics. However,
Id say it reaches out
particularly to C2,D and E
the most. I feel this as
these categories typically
consist of younger
people, which is the
targeted age group, and
these type of jobs are
either part-time, allows
time for leisure activities
or the people are
unemployed. This leaves
time for activities such as
watching films.

Psychographics
My thrill will be targeting the
psychographic group explorers. I
feel this as my age group consists of
young people and explorers are
typically younger and commonly
students.
They value adventure, experience
and energy which is what you would
find in a thriller. I also find they
enjoy thrills and difference and
thrillers commonly deliver and
consist of these.
They are also known as the first to
try new brands and items. My
thriller would be new to the film
industry, meaning explorers would
be more interested and likely to
watch it due to it being new.
