Target Audience

What is a target audience?

A target audience is a selected group of people at which a
product (such as a film/production) or advertisement is aimed
at in particular.

What is OUR target audience?

Age: The target audience that my group and I have selected to
aim our production at are at of the ages between 15 through to
35 years of age. Collectively, as a group, we chose this
target audience because the film is based on a young male who
fights his battles. Therefore people of a YOUNG generation
will be more likely to relate. Also, this means that people of
an older generation may not find it very interesting or too
high-intensity to watch.

Ethnicity: Our group decided that we wanted our target

ethnicity to be aimed at ALL cultures and races. We thought
that aiming our production at one particular race (for
example, black people) then it may reduce popularity as it
wont be appealing for everyone.

Class: The film that we will be producing will be primarily

aimed at socio-economic classes C and below (C1, C2, D, E).
This is mainly because the majority of people who are a part
of our target audience ages that we selected are part of those
classes and will be able to relate to the film.

Gender: The production is mostly aimed at MALES (since the

main character is a male). Most action movies have the
protagonist as a male; meaning it follows the typical
stereotypes of an action movie, which will lead to allot of
attention as it is what people expect to see.

our target
audience should
look like

ethnicities)
