I am currently responsible for managing and providing quality instruction of the state standards in the
areas of reading, language arts, and social studies to third grade students. I have been an educator for
the past 8 years in an inclusion setting, and for 3 out of the 8 years that I taught third grade, I was the
leader of a self-contained inclusion setting. I am also responsible for managing the Accelerated Reader
program for the third grade hall, and I have the opportunity to work directly with the school librarian
media specialist. I was nominated SCES teacher of the year in both 2010 and 2011.
