Experience

Academy for Classical Education / Student Observer

JAN 2015 - MAY 2015, Bibb County Charter School

As a second semester freshman, I had the opportunity to observe Mrs.

Kelli Daniels 3rd grade class in the new charter schools first year. An
exemplary teacher, Mrs. Daniels showed me many strategies of how to
run an educationally efficient and on-task classroom.

Rosa Taylor Elementary School / Student Observer

AUG 2015 - PRESENT, Bibb County Public Schools

As a first semester sophomore, I had the opportunity to briefly observe

Mrs. Korry Allens severe and profound special education classroom for
several weeks. It taught me a lot about how special education works and
meeting the children gave me a new perspective on teaching. I now have
the chance to work with Mrs. Whitleys 2nd grade class. Her class is
integrated in that they host some high functioning special needs children.
Getting to work with all of them but especially one very hyperactive boy
is teaching me patience and techniques to teach and keep him on track.

Elam Alexander at Northeast High School / Student Observer

SEP 2015 - PRESENT, Bibb County Public Schools

As a first semester sophomore, I have the opportunity to work with high

schoolers in the specially designed Elam Alexander (special needs)
program at Northeast. This placement has taught me a lot about how a
special needs system works.

Education

Wesleyan College / Early Childhood Education

FALL 2014 - PRESENT, Macon, Georgia

Since Wesleyan is a womens liberal arts college, I know that I am getting

the most well-rounded education possible. Aside from extremely thought
provoking and personally engaging education classes, I have taken
everything from art, to biology, to public speaking, to economics.

Howard High School / General Diploma

FALL 2010 - SPRING 2014, Macon, Georgia

Graduating from the gifted program with honors, Howard High School
prepared me for college in the best way by providing me with very caring
teachers and an abundance of resources. Howard was the first high
school in Georgia to receive an Advanced Placement grant from College
Board, meaning that I was able to take as many AP classes as possible
with incentive. Overall I was able to take 8 AP courses and started college
with 15 college credits.
