Gone
The novel Gone by Michael Grant is a story that revolves around the
disappearance of every person above the age of 15. The story takes
place in the small town of Perdido Beach and a few of the surrounding
areas. Not only do those people disappear but also a mysterious,
impenetrable, and clear barrier cuts the world off from every direction
(they name it the FAYZ). Not only are the children alone and helpless,
but some of the inhabitants inside the FAYZ start developing
supernatural abilities. Most of the story is seen through the eyes of
Sam Temple, a fourteen year old boy, who struggles with his powers
and his newfound leadership that everyone expects from him. As if this
wasnt bad enough, Sam has to fight off 2 main antagonists which are
Caine Soren and Drake Merwin. So much action and chaos packed into
576 pages, what do you think will happen?

Rating:
I would give this book a 4/5 stars because it is one of those books that keep your eyes glued to
your book because you want to see whats going to happen next. It had a good storyline and a
good plot (same thing). The only reason I take 1 away from the score is because he couldve

developed the characters a little better, he just gave them a few days and then boom, they were
heroes. Aside from that, I enjoyed this book overall and I hope you guys will too!
