DETAIL OF TOPIC:

Safety talk is an important and useful tool to discuss / inculcate necessary

knowledge about rules, regulations, safety precautions and standard
operating procedures regarding job(s) to be executed.

It is advisable to conduct a job-specific safety talk before starting any critical

job in order to impart necessary details and precautions about the job to all
the team members. This shall keep them at the same frequency level which
shall be beneficial for effective and timely completion of job.

The Safety Talk forum is also used to discuss certain recent incidents / near
misses occurred. This shall share the knowledge and shall be helpful in
avoiding such incidents in future.

Moreover, suggestions for improvement, building team spirit and make the
employees involved and motivated in planning and execution phase are some
of the benefits associated with safety talk program.
