So much to HOOT about!!
Issue Date: November 3, 2015
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I would first like to thank all the parents who helped
to support our Halloween Celebration. The students
had a blast!!! Everyone looked fabulous in their
costumes.
November is here! Wow! That came quick. Your
child will be bringing home their book logs in their
take home folders. Please fill in the books they read
and return when it is full. Our school is working
hard on earning a bouncy house for field day.
Please join us for the 2nd Annual Its a Wonderful
Night! on Thursday, December 10, 2015. Please
return your family reservation by Monday,
November 30th, 2015.
I am still in the process of scheduling parent/teacher
conferences. I will be sending home the
confirmation letters in the very near future.

Curriculum Corner
This week we will be working
on
Math: Multiplying 2-digits by 1-digit
numbers using various strategies. We will
begin working on finding equivalent
fractions using fraction bars and fraction
strips.
Science: Assessment on Sound and Light
(Wednesday November 4th). We will be
begin describing the properties of objects in
motion.
Social Studies: Identifying and using various
maps. We will begin with physical maps.
Reading: We will be describing how
chronological text structure helps us better
understanding informational text. Our focus
is on non-fiction.
Writing: We are in the process of publishing
our Informational Writing.
