please plan to attend a brief PTO meeting
at 5:30 to go over guidelines.

Curriculum
Math We will wrap up the first nine
weeks with Properties of Multiplication and
Division and Solving Problems with 2-5
and 10. Students will work on lessons 14
and 15 this week! See homework helpers
attached for detailed explanations.
Multiplication - Please study
multiplication facts nightly. Students are
being tested on their facts. They have
learned 0-5xs in school. Next week the
students will review all facts 0-5. We will
move on to the 6xs the first week in
November.
Social Studies Studies Weekly sent us
a unit on voting due to the upcoming
election. Using Studies Weekly, students
will learn about the Statue of
Responsibility and the Statue of Liberty.
They will understand that the right to vote
is a responsibility for all adults in the
United States of America.
Grammar- As the fall AIR test
approaches, writing will be a major focus.
Students will practice the writing process
in creative ways. The hard work will pay
off as their writing pieces will eventually
be published. In the near future, you will
be able to purchase books that contain
their works of art!
Spelling- There are no spelling words this
week! ENJOY!

October Reward Party

The third grade celebrates excellent
behavior each month. We plan on making
snow cones and watching Hocus Pocus on
Thursday, October 27th. We are sending
home permission slips to watch the movie.
