Furqan
Furqan, today you spent sometime at the art
corner. You sat at the art table and chose some
coloured marker pens to draw with. When I
offered the container filled with coloured pens,
you used your right hand to pick a colour. I
showed you how to hold the pencil in the pencil
grip. You then held the pencil in your right hand to
draw.
Furqan, you were able to hold the pencil in this grasp whilst you made marks on your paper. I
talked to you about the colour of the markers you had chosen, blue, red and purple and that
the marks on the paper were made by you moving the marker pens across the page. You had
so much fun doing this that you ended up laughing every time you doodled. Furqan, you
indicated to me that you were done when you pushed your paper away and jumped off the
chair and went straight to get your favourite car.
Furqan, you displayed an interest in drawing.
You are learning different ways to be creative
and expressive through art processes. You are
developing your fine motor skills, pincer grip
and pre-writing skills, well done! Furqan, you
are also being exposed to language around the
process to build upon your existing
vocabulary.
Furqan, we will continue to offer you a variety of art mediums to experiment with and
to develop and extend upon your creativity.
