Preparation Strategy

Mrinalini ESE-2014 (AIR 58 in EE)

I was not enrolled in any classroom program of any coaching, but I did bought Made Easy
Correspondence Course for reference. What my point is you can clear any exam through selfstudy but it will require constant attention and interaction with the people who have already
cleared it.
Different books I followed are:
English-ME Book
GS-ME Notes + Current Affairs(read newsppr daily)
EMT-Saidku & SP Seth
Electrical Materials-ME notes
Electrical Circuits-Van Valkenburg & Chakraborty
Measurements and Instrumentation-AK Sawhney & HS Kalsi
Control Systems- M Gopal & Manke
Electrical Machines-Nagrath Kothari
Power Systems-CL Wadhwa & Nagrath Kothari & B Ram & VK Mehta
Analog Electronics-Millman Halkias & Boyelsted
Digital Electronics-Morris Mano
Microprocessors-Gaonkar
Communication Systems-BP Lathi & George Kennedy
Power Electronics-PS Bhimbra

My strategy was to prepare everything in order of their priority. I used to pick up three subjects
at a time(one concept based, one numerical based and last cramming one). This rotation of
subjects helped in keeping my interest alive. Try to revise everything as many times as possible.
