Radar Detector Install In A Mazda 3 Using Invisicord

1. Locate the map lights:

2. Grasp either side and pull down:

3. Locate the sunroof power plug, slightly behind the opening on the passenger side:

4. Use a flathead screwdriver to pull the plug out. The pink wire is positive (hot)
and switched, i.e. it supplies power only when the ignition is turned on. The
black and yellow wire is ground.

5. Insert the invisicord leads in by hand first as shown below. Then use pliers to
push the leads all the way in (not shown).

6. If you cannot get the black (ground) invisicord lead all the way in, then ground it
to the screw at the top of the opening as follows:

7. Feed the cord underneath the roof and attach it to the radar detector:

Doesnt that look clean and neat?


Stick the plug for the sunroof power back into its socket (see step 3 for a picture).
Push the map lights back in (see step 1 for a picture).
