Scenario:
International e-Cash is a simple, convenient, and secure way to send and receive money among
companies and individuals worldwide. It also provides money exchange service to its clients.
The company intends to extend its services by opening several branches in the main shopping
malls in Kuala Lumpur. The management wants the branches to communicate among them and
with the Headquarter using secure and reliable wireless technology to ensure the high quality of
services provided with no delay, and give customers the exact same exchange rates for the
preferred currency at all branches in the city, and to prevent any scam or fraud( ie. Customers
trying to receive the same transaction twice from different branches)
Assuming your team has been appointed as the network consultant specialists to deploy the
wireless communication technology. Prepare a detailed technical report to be presented to the
management of International e-Cash which covers the following criteria for both headquarter and
branches:

Explanatory notes
Presentation: Each member is required to give a presentation on the work produced and
knowledge gained. The student will be assessed based on: clarity of presentation, quality of
presentation, and ability to handle questions posed. (10%)
Report content: This includes the relevance, sufficient coverage, up-to-date, and coherence, of
the facts presented. (10 %)

Diagrams and Figures: This includes any diagrammatic and pictorial representation of facts.
(20%)
Analytical and critical thinking: This includes analysis and evaluation of facts followed by
results of evaluation. (20%)
Progress report: A bi-weekly progress report indicating the work-in-progress or completed
tasks (i.e. using GANTT chart). This is to evaluate the time management and discipline of
student in completing the assigned tasks. (5%)
Workload matrix: A list or table showing the tasks being assigned to every member of the team.
Each member is required to sign-off to acknowledge their responsibilities and to fulfil them.

Assumptions: This includes the scope and limitations set forth for the entire report.(5%)

Documentation: This includes the cover page, contents page, page numbering, headings, and
proper sequencing and flow. (10%)

Referencing: This includes the quality of references used: research papers, articles, books,
journals, trade press, etc. and the adoption of Harvard Referencing system for all facts and
diagrams used. (15%)

ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENTS
1. You are required to work within a group of not more than 4 members.
2. Attach the marking scheme provided in the previous page as the cover page and enter each
members name accordingly.
3. As part of project management, you are required to develop a Gantt chart (project plan) that
indicates clearly the activities required in order for the project to be a success.

4. The report has to be well presented and should be typed. Submission of reports that are
unprofessional in its outlook (dirty, disorganised, inconsistent look, varying coloured paper
and size) will not fair well when marks are allocated.
5. Ensure that the report is printed on standard A4 (210 X 297 mm) sized paper. Paper weight of
80 grams and above is highly recommended.
6. The report should have a one (1) margin all around the page as illustrated below:

7. Every report must have a front cover. A transparent plastic sheet can be placed in front of the
report to protect the front cover. The front cover should have the following details:a) Name of group members.
b) Intake code.
c) Subject.
d) Project Title.
e) Date Assigned (the date the report was handed out).
f) Date Completed (the date the report is due to be handed in).
8. Plagiarism is a serious offence and will automatically be awarded zero (0) marks.
9. All information, figures and diagrams obtained from external sources must be referenced
using the Harvard referencing system accordingly.
