This was an internship through Radford for class credits. I assisted the teachers in
the classroom with snack time, outside time, playtime, and center time.
This was a preschool program operated through the high school for teaching
purposes. In this program two students were assigned to me and I was responsible
for them throughout my senior year. Responsibilities included creating lesson plans,
teaching the children the planned lessons and monitoring and recording their
progress. The lesson plans included learning and writing letters and numbers. I also
interacted and established a close relationship with the students.

decisions. We created programs to make the students aware of what could happen if
they didnt make good decisions relating to texting and driving or drinking and driving.

Ran track and field which was a great bonding experience and allowed me to support my
team mates in our meets.
Ive had a passion for soccer since the age of six. Throughout middle and high school I
played on various travel teams and still play for fun. This taught me how important it is to
work as a team and I feel this will help me work as a team with my school.

Crafting
Crafting has always been a passion of mine. I have made crafts that teachers at Bradley
Elementary school have asked to use as an activity in their classroom. This is something
that has always come easy to me and I feel would help me in designing lesson plans to
make them appropriate for all levels of learning.
Reading
Reading is a pleasure of mine which would be helpful in the classroom when reading to
the children with ease and perhaps help students develop a passion for reading.
Painting
Painting with acrylics and watercolors is also a hobby of mine that I have had for a long
time, painting is an activity kids love.
Baking
I love to bake and baking would be a great activity to do in a classroom. It would be easy
to incorporate a math lesson with the measurements and would also make the lesson
very entertaining to the students.
Gardening
Banjo
I developed an interest in the banjo a few years ago. Currently I am taking lessons and
would love to incorporate playing the banjo into classroom activities or lessons.
