Art Walks Oktoberfest: Beer, Food and Parking
(JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 5)--Art Walk will be hosting its third annual Oktoberfest.

The event will be held in downtown Jacksonville on Wednesday Oct. 3 from 5 p.m. to 10
p.m.
Marketing and Events Coordinator Hana Ashchi organizes Art Walk for
Downtown Visions, Inc. (DVI). The first Oktoberfest brought more than 15,000 visitors
into Downtown Jacksonville, and we expect even more this year, said Ashchi.
Mayor Lenny Curry will be in attendance and start the traditional tapping of the
keg,along with Bold City Brewery. Oktoberfest showcases the artistry of cooks,
musicians and other artists in a way that people just dont expect, Curry said.
Local vendors will be in attendance including Hoptingers Bier and Sausage
House. Hoptinger will also be sponsoring a sausage-eating contest, explained Ashchi.
The Jacksonville Landing will have two stages for live music. A variety of local
bands will be in attendance including special performances by Dan Witucki and Mein
Heimatland Musikanten Band.
Wednesday will be a busy event, predicted Ashchi. Transportation such as the
monorail, taxis and busses are open to the public. Parking is free after 6 p.m. and includes
over 40,000 parking spaces.
