Students will investigate the physical properties of

Materials Needed
Clear plastic cups, objects made of different
materials, worksheets
Anticipatory Setting

Opening
Objective :After watching the video, the students
will predict if the objects will float or sink, and then investigate if
their predictions are true in order to complete their worksheet.
Relevancy: Students
Instructional Input:
Once the student are seated, they will watch a short
that gives a short explanation of why things float/sink.
Modeling:
I will demonstrate what they need to do with their
objects and how they should record their results.
Independent Practice:
Student will work with their partners and figure out
what items sink/float.
Assessment:
I will use worksheets to assess the students
understanding.
Closure:
Students will be asked to share something that floats
or sinks.
Sponge:
If they are finished early, on the back of their
worksheet, they can draw a picture of one of the objects showing
if it floated/sank.
