ATTY. JESUS B. GARCIA JR.

Atty. Jesus B. Garcia, Jr.obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political
Science from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1964. He later finished his Bachelor
of Laws with the same university in 1968. Thereafter, he was a professor of theology
and philosophy at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, where he was practicing
law together with his father, Atty. Jesus P. Garcia, Sr. Atty. Garcia was elected and
served as a councilor of Cebu City from 1980 to 1986. He co-founded the law firm,
J.P. Garcia & Associates with his father in 1978. Atty. Garcia has been the President
of SunStar Publishing, Inc. since 1996 and SunStar Management, Inc. since 1998. He
also served as cabinet member of President Fidel V. Ramos, being the Secretary for
the Department of Transportation and Communications for the years 1992-1996. He
also served as co-chairman of the Regional Development Council Region VII from
1990-1992.
He is currently the President and Chairman of Sunstar Publishing, Inc., Cebus
leading newspaper, and a director of Vivant Corporation, one of the few listed
companies based in Cebu City.

Jesever Realty Corp., and President at Madre Realty Corp.
He is on the Board of Directors at Vivant Corp. (Philippines), Eupen Cable Asia, Inc., and Eupen
Marketing Asia, Inc.
