What is a NOUN?
Noun: a word that refers to a person, place,
thing, event, substance or quality e.g.
'nurse', 'cat', 'party', 'oil' and 'poverty

What is a VERB?
Verb: a word or phrase that describes an
action, condition or experience e.g. 'run',
'look' and 'feel'.

What is an ADJECTIVE?
Adjective: a word that describes a noun e.g.
'big', 'boring', 'pink', 'quick' and 'obvious'.

Directions
You will be given 1 index card that either has
a noun, verb, or adjective written on it.
You will also be given a worksheet that has
12 boxes to fill in under each categoryNoun, Verb, Adjective
No talking while moving around!

Directions
To show your classmates what you are:
Nouns- 1 pencil jump
Verbs- 1 jumping jack
Adjectives- 1 squat

Act out your word like in Charades. Once you guess


the word correctly you can add it to the box in the
proper column and move on to a new classmate!

Safety Tips
Be aware of your personal space!
Follow directions (Remember: No talking!)
Do your best to act out your word!
This is not a race. Do the best you can within
the time given.
