are called WH words.

What is “WH” Question?

Answer: In English, wh-words (who, whose,
whom, what, which, where, when, why, how) are
at the beginning of the question and the answer
to the question which is never 'yes' or 'no' is
called Wh-Question.

 WH- questions CANNOT

be answered with YES or NO.

Introduce with Auxiliary verb for WH-question

Auxiliary Verbs: am, is, are, was, were, have, has,

had,, will, would, can, could, shall, should, may,
might etc. If there are no more Auxiliary Verbs,
then you can use do, did, does according to the
Tense of the given Statement / Affirmative
Sentence and the Number and Person of the
Subject.

WHO= names a person

If there is an underlined word at

the beginning of the sentence
which means a person's name then
Wh- Question has to be created by
Who.
