Daily 3

For my 4th graders, they are

to complete our Daily3 during
small group instruction. The
three tasks that I chose to
focus on are:
Read to Self
Work Work
Work on Writing

Read to Self

Students are able to choose books, based on their lexile level, from
our classroom library. Chapter books are currently organized by lexile
level and picture books by genre. Next year all books will be
organized by both genre and level. Students are able to read
anywhere in the room.

Word Work

All materials for our

word work focus are
filed in our interactive
word work tub. Each
choice includes
directions, a sample,
and student work pages
to complete their choice
task.

Work on Writing

All materials for our

monthly writing focus
are filed in our
interactive writing tub.
Each choice includes
directions, a sample,
and student work pages
to complete their choice
task.

Computer Programs

Students are able to read and listen to text online using Reading
Eggpress and MyOn. My students are more excited to use Reading
Eggpress versus MyOn because it is more interactive. I give them the
choice on which one they want to use. Students are rotated on the
computers daily.
