Simon & Schuster is excited to announce their plan to publish Boehner: From Humble Beginnings to The
Capitol, the first memoir by 61st Speaker of the House, John Boehner. The book is scheduled for
publication on Nov. 25, 2015.
From growing up in his familys two-bedroom home in Cincinnati to serving three terms as speaker of the
U.S. House of Representatives, Boehner continues to cement himself as a self-made man. The memoir
will shed light on the inner-workings of U.S. government and the challenging task of fighting for ones
beliefs.

John Boehner is the 61st speaker of the House, a member of the Republican Party, and from Ohios 8th
congressional district. Since first assuming office in 1991, he has also served as the House minority
leader from 2007 to 2011, and the House majority leader from 2006 until 2007.
