Goal: TLW know how to analyze data from different types of tables and graphs

Objectives: The student will make comparisons between tables and analyze data in
a table and review line graphs.

Materials/ Resources/ Technology needs:


Document camera, warm-up & lesson printed on paper, math workbooks

Instructional Procedures
Focusing Event: Students will work on warm-up displayed on activboard.
Teaching/ Learning Procedures:
1. As a class, go over math warm up, then quick review over math facts (all will be
displayed on activboard using document camera)
2. As class, discuss the different types of tables and graphs previously seen in class and
how to analyze the data from said tables and graphs
3. Students will return to desk to work on workbook pages 81-82
Formative Check (ongoing or specific): monitor students as they work through warm up by
walking around desks, looking at spirals, monitor student participation during whole group
lesson
Reteach (alternative used as needed): stem and leaf pots, line graphs, input-output tables,
multiplication math facts, multiplication strategies
Closure: tables and graphs are used to help us view then analyze our data more quickly and
efficiently
Assessment/ Summative Evaluation: workbook pages 81-82
Modifications/ Notes: preferential seating, decreased work load, additional time to work on
assignment
