The 5 Senses
Review
Activity Time
Vocabulary: touch, taste, smell, hear, see, mouth, tongue, hands, ears, eyes,
sweet, salty, sour, bitter, soft, rough, hard, loud, quiet, good and bad.
Sentence structure(s):
I see with my eyes
I hear with my ears
I touch with my hands
I taste with my tongue
I smell with my nose
Songs: The 5 senses song, the 5 senses sing-a long and the 5 senses by
silly school song.
Activities:
This week we will make a mini book about 5 senses. And the students will
practice writing in full sentence about their 5 senses.
Games:
Miming actions: Students have to respond with what the teacher is doing in a full
sentence.
Car Race: Arrange the flashcards in a long line with starting and finishing points.
Give each student a counter. The first student throws the dice and moves. The
student must say the full sentence on the flashcard he/she lands on. If the
student makes a mistake, he/she goes back to his/her original place.
Make a Sentence: Put the students into teams and lay out a selection of
flashcards. One student from each team chooses a vocabulary item and uses it
correctly in a sentence. Give each student ten seconds on the timer.
New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
This week we will continue learning the short i vowel sound using our phonics
book.
