In the article Your Phone could Ruin Your Life, author Kristen Lewis writes, Few
people would deny that life today is more convenient, information rich, and
connected than its been at any point in human history (pg. 6).

It would be good sense to apply the proverb all things in moderation to our
digital lives in order to fully experience the positive aspects of technology without
experiencing the negative effects of overindulgence.

In other words, our technology has incredible benefits. However, Lewis also points
out that technology can be detrimental when used in excess- that is, when we
dont practice moderation.

According to Lewiss article Your Phone could Ruin Your Life, digital distraction
makes homework take longer (pg. 8), puts us in physical danger (pg. 6), and
suppresses creativity because we never have the space to daydream (pg. 8).

The proverb all things in moderation means that we shouldnt overdo anythingincluding the things we enjoy. It would be wise to apply this proverb to out digital
lives. Being connected to the digital world can be fantastic.
