Lesson Plan (Fun Activity)
Lesson Plan
Equipment:
- Colored Wheel Parachute
- 20 Colored Fuzzy Balls

Activity #1: Parachute

Students will be assigned a color; the color in which the students are assigned will
indicate which part of the parachute they will hold on too. The object of this activity is for the
students to place fuzzy balls in the middle opening of the parachute. There will be over a dozen
fuzzy balls bouncing around on the parachute all at once. Whatever color the student is
assigned, is the color fuzzy balls in which they need to use to get in the middle opening. If a
student is assigned green, then the goal for that student to get all the green fuzzy balls in the
middle opening before any of the other students with different colors do.
Activity #2: Parachute cont.
The second activity still involves the parachute, however; the objective is different as
apposed to the first activity. This activity is something that all students are familiar with.
Basically, all the students will continue to shake the parachute and then the teacher will simply
yell, up! Once the teacher gave the signal, students will all at once raise the parachute
towards the sky. The teacher will simply call out a color or two colors and those students who
are assigned those respected colors will run under the parachute to the center and back to their
position. Basically the goal for the students is to race towards the center and back before the
whole parachute reaches back on the ground.
