Itinerary:
1. 8:30 am Everyone reports to Friends of Conley
a. Bus will be at Friends of Conley at 8:00 am
2. 8:45 am Busses leave for the Childrens Museum
3. 10:00 am Arrive at Childrens Museum
4. 10:05 am Leave busses and pick up tickets/sign in
5. 10:30 am to 10:45am - Terra Cotta Warriors Up Close:
Students will learn about the Terra Cotta Warriors.
6. 10:50 am to 11:20 am Time for a break/or walk around the
museum until next exhibit
7. 11:30 am to 11:45 am Dino Tales: Students will learn
about discovering dinosaurs.
8. 11:50 am to 12:50pm Lunch: We provide lunch that we
brought with us. The meal will be determined through the
waiver signed by the students and parents/guardians.
9. 1:00pm to 1:28pm Take Action! Students will learn how
their communication skills impact their peers and how their
actions can change the world in a positive way.

1:30pm to 1:45pm - Ruby's Story: Students will hear
about Ruby Bridges and her story about a desegregated New
Orleans and her role in the 1960s Civil Rights Movement.

2:00 pm to 2:15pm - Dishu--Art with Characters:
Students will learn how to create Chinese characters with
giant dishu calligraphy brushes.
12.
2:30pm to 2:45pm Ryans Story: Students will learn
about the young Kokomo hero Ryan White and his story
about the misinformation about AIDS.
13.
3:00 pm to 3:25pm - Play a Part: Students will
experience Chinese culture through a traditional Chinese
shadow puppet show, celebrating Chinese New Year with a
dragon dance, or practice Kung-Fu exercises in the Shaolin
Temple. Free tickets are available in the exhibit 10
minutes before the program. Space is limited.
14.
3:30 pm to 3:45pm Annes Story: Students will learn
about Anne Frank and the wisdom she left behind during the
Holocaust. Students will also how we can take her words and
apply them to our modern day to promote a better future.
15.
4:00pm to 4:15pm - Chinese Artist in Residence:
Students will join a real Chinese artist and learn about
ancient and modern artistic experiences like Chinese
calligraphy, painting, or musical performances.
16.
(If you wanted to, you could explore the museum and
the other exhibits it offers before you leave).
17.
By 4:25pm Everyone will begin loading onto the
busses to return home.
18.
5:30pm to 5:45pm - Bus will arrive at Friends of Conley.
Students will have their parents pick them up by 6 pm. Bus
will leave and return to Empire charters.
