Ti-84 instructions

Before beginning always clear all list . The easiest way to do this is 2nd +(MEM)
#4 ClearAllLists Enter
Step 1:

STAT EDIT Enter values for x in L1 and values for y in L2

Step 2:

2nd STAT PLOT (above y= button) Plot 1 Enter highlight ON

and push EnterType: Scatter Plot (first choice) Enter
Push GRAPH button to view scatter plot to make sure that there is an
appropriate line of regression (ax +b) for the data

Step 3:

STAT CALC #4 LinReg(ax + b) Enter twice (Write an equation

(y = ax +b) using the values given for a & b (round values to the
hundredths place)
a = ______ b = ______ Y = ______________

Step 4:

Push y= button and enter equation from step 3

Step 5:

Adjust window to fit x and y values Window button is next to y=

buttonadjust Xmin, Xmax, Ymin, Ymax. You may have to adjust Xscl
and Yscl depending on the values given so that you can see the graph in
the window.

Step 6:

Push GRAPH button. You should see the scatter plot and the line of
best fit.

Step 7:

Between problems you need to clear L1 and L2. The easiest way to do
this is 2nd + (MEM) #4 ClearAllLists Enter
