OTB1
I completed my first On the Boards assignment this evening with Tracy Arner.
Her project is on teaching how to do chart of accounts for Georgia Public Libraries.

Things I liked
First of all, I liked her learning objectives. I found them to be clear and
concise. Second, I thought she did a great job of organizing the project into four
sections: defining chart of accounts, defining chart fields, coding the chart fields,
and assessment. Third, I particularly liked the assessment section because it
matches well with her instructional model.

Alignment with instructional model

Tracy told me that her instructional design model was ADDIE. The learning
model was something akin to a tutorial (although, I forget what she specifically said
it was) and the learning theory was behaviorism. I thought that her project aligns
well with these models because she clearly states her objects and then, at the end
of the module, she is assessing whether the learner has mastered those learning
objectives or not. Additionally, she wants to track user behaviors with an LMS.

Feedback on usability
As for improvements, we talked about ways to make her project non-linear,
which I think would be a good idea for clients who are more experienced than others
and do not need, for example, the definition of a chart of accounts. Also, I think it
would be a great idea to ingest the project via SCORM module; this way one can

and visuals yet because we are still in the early stages of development.
