SYNOPSIS: Focusing on the visual representation of Imbalance; our

structure loosely follows the journey of a ball formed by string. Using
this journey as a basis for a flexible narrative, our animation will
incorporate string and pins to create various shapes, movement and
patterns, visually portraying the notion of Imbalance. This will also
be shown through the use of colours and the arrangement of
materials.



TREATMENT: The narrative of our piece will be very loose, focusing
more on the visual presentation of imbalance. It shows the journey of
a ball, moving through a range sceneries, and obstacles, all
contributing to the idea of imbalance. We intend on making the tone
of the piece light-hearted and upbeat integrating voiceovers
(sparingly), exaggerated sound effects and peppy sound composition.
The style of our piece will embody the form of an experimental
animation, exploring many techniques and approaches to the visual
portrayal of imbalance. We plan on capturing the audiences
attention with our less common technique of using pins and string in
hopes of creating a vivid and fast paced visualisation, providing a
fresh aesthetic that will be memorable and eye-catching. Ultimately
we want the audience to feel amused; we want them to relate to the
ball in relation to escapism.
