Welcome Members!
Welcome High Tech and Key
Club for the 2015 2016 year of
service! For those of you that are
returning members of Key Club,
welcome back to the next year
of service. And for those of you
that are new to Key Club,
welcome and were so glad to
have you!

About Key Club

For those of you that are new to Key
Club, we are a international student-led
organization (part of Kiwanis
International), which provides its
members with opportunities to provide
service, build character, and develop
leadership qualities. Key Club is
sponsored by Kiwanis International, with
goals of helping those in need around
the world by fundraisers and events.

More About Key Club

Our club at High Tech is part of Division 9 of the 22 divisions in New Jersey,
serving under our wonderful senior, Lieutenant Governor Emma Clark! This
year we hope that as many people as possible will attend the events and
fundraisers because Key Club is really a great way to meet new people and
have fun while helping out the community!

Dues
Key Club dues are $15.00 cash for anyone
who wishes to become an official member of
the club. We will be collecting dues on
October 8th or 15th during the meetings, or
October 9th and 16th in Mr. Hanass room (170).
Make sure all dues are placed in an envelope
with your name on it and hand them in ASAP.

Fall Rally

What is Fall Rally?

Fall Rally is a meeting that Key Club holds
at Six Flags once a year. For about two
hours, the entire organization of Key Club
in New Jersey meets in Six Flags in the
large stage, as the president and
lieutenant governors dress up in goofy
outfits and talk to everyone about Key
Club, as we get back into the swing of
things! Following the meeting is a whole
day of fun with your friends around Six
Flags!

Why should I attend?

Fall Rally is by far the most attended event
every year, and it is a fantastic way to get
ready for the upcoming year of service.
Besides, who wouldnt want to spend an
entire day with friends at Six Flags? Be sure
not to miss out on this awesome event!

District Project
How can I help?
This project allows our club to
fundraise for Food Banks and
Soup Kitchens all across the state,
as Key clubbers can also choose
to volunteer at any of the
locations.

Our District Project

Every year, our Key Club district
(District 9) has a District Project,
which is a charity or organization
that the district focuses on in the
upcoming year. This year, the New
Jersey District of Key Club has
chosen to work with the New Jersey
Federation of Food Banks.

Other ways to participate in the

District Project include hosting
food drives and working at soup
kitchens. Our focus is to fight
hunger so be creative!

Advocacy Focus
Our Advocacy Focus
Every year, in addition to a district
project, our Key Club has an advocacy
focus. For those of you that dont know
what that is, advocacy is speaking on
behalf of those who cant speak for
themselves. This year, our districts
advocacy focus is on autism.

How can I help?

The advocacy focus allows Key
Clubbers to focus on autism
however they choose, whether it
be through working with autistic
children, or raising money for
Autism Speaks. You can even
simply educate your friends
about what autism is and just
encouraging them to be kind to
and help their autistic peers.
