DCON and Service Hours

Service Hours

What is DCON?
DCON is a huge event hosted by
Key Club every spring. During this
event, clubs from all around the
state can join together to talk
about and discuss events that all
Key Clubs are participating in this
year. Our Key Club is opening up
this event to anyone in the club
who would like to attend. Keep in
mind, however, that you must be a
responsible member of Key Club to
attend this event.

debrenner@ctemc.org

As you may know, this year, the High

Tech Key Club is hoping for even more
participation from its members, so it is
required that you must attend at least
one meeting per month to be
considered a member. In addition to
that, if you would like to attend DCON
in April, you must have at least 15 hrs of
service total with at least 10 hrs from
our club. Hours from the club include
attending Fall Rally, volunteering at Mr.
HTHS, and other volunteer
opportunities provided/advertised.
Each club meeting will also count as
1/2 hr of service. The minimum cap is to
encourage even more participation
out of all of our members this year!

Spike Out Hunger

What is Spike Out
Hunger?
Spike Out Hunger is an event
that our Key Club attended
this year. With the goal of
ending hunger with the NJ
Federation of Food Banks, a
volleyball tournament was
held at SJV on November
22nd.

About
There were 8 teams from schools all around
the district that showed up to the event. A
big congratulations to the winning team
from High Tech, The Dolans, who will be
moving on to represent Districts 9 and 10 in
the regional tournament, with the winners of
all the other districts. Together, Districts 9 and
10 raised $275 dollars towards ending
hunger, as well as 25 lbs of food!
