Short Term Consequences

You can quickly die from too much alcohol at once, whereas with marijuana

you cant.
Marijuana affects the heart in the short term, as well as the mind. It increases

the heart rate and blood pressure.


Marijuana does not have dangerous affects when interacting with other drugs

like alcohol does.


Alcohol is broken down similarly to other drugs which means it can decrease

or increase the amounts of other drugs in the body which can be deadly
Both alcohol and marijuana can impair coordination and balance

Long Term Consequences

Alcohol can cause liver disease and liver cancer


The long term effects of marijuana are not well known yet
Marijuana is thought by some to affect the development of the brain in young
people
