DRUG EDUCATION AND VICE CONTROL REFLECTION

Our class in Civic Welfare Training Service held a webinar regarding Drug Education and

Vice Control that we attended on the said date. As a person who has knowledge about the

concept of drugs, I was driven by my curiosity about what new knowledge I can learn through

listening in this webinar. I have learned that the abuse of drugs and alcohol is a problem that

plagues our generation. Despite the fact that the substances often used are both legal and illicit,

they all have significant health consequences and cause a slew of other issues to an individual.

Drugs are typically narcotic and addicting, and they can have a detrimental impact on one's life.

Marijuana, for example, frequently leads to the use of other, more difficult substances, causing

the user to become strongly addicted to the point where he or she is completely reliant on the

drug. The process of the drug chain was also tackled in the webinar that comprises production,

processing, trafficking, financing, retailing, and consumption. It is very saddening that addiction

has always been a part of life for humans. We've seen the damage it can do, but it's now

influencing our daily lives more than ever. Educating teens on the effects of drug abuse is

important. Adolescents who abuse dangerous substances may do so to deal with stressful

mental and emotional disorders. The repercussions of substance addiction might endure a

lifetime, even if some of these problems are just transient. Not only teenagers but everyone can

benefit from having the knowledge of Drug Education for it can help us have a safer

environment for everyone.

Some individuals take drugs to fit in, escape or relax, ease boredom, seem

more mature, rebel, and explore; they believe that drugs are a solution to the

problems they are experiencing. Now and again, the pills themselves become a

cause of anxiety. No matter how difficult it may be to address one's issues, the

repercussions of drug usage are always more significant than the problem one

attempts to fix with drugs. The only good reactions to this scenario are to seek out

the truth and to abstain from drug usage entirely if possible. When just a tiny

quantity of it is consumed, it has stimulant properties. It is harmful to consume

even a moderate dose, and it can be fatal in massive amounts. This is true for any
prescription medication. One distinction between the two is the quantity of money

spent to achieve the desired outcome.

The fact that many drugs have a direct impact on the mental state is a

significant drawback for many of these medications. When they are present, they

have the power to skew a user's perspective of what is going on in their immediate

environment. Individuals who have bipolar disorder may exhibit odd, erratic, and

even harmful behavior due to their condition. All positive and negative feelings and

the capacity to make choices are taken away from the user by drugs. While they

may provide temporary pain relief, they also impair one's ability to focus effectively

and attentively, leading one's thoughts to become disorganized.

This results in a person's mood and impression of well-being plummeting

by a factor that is several times bigger than before the pharmaceuticals were taken

into consideration. It becomes more impossible to traverse the emotional chasm

that widens with each passing day and into which one must plunge farther. It is

inescapable that the use of drugs will ultimately impede a person's capacity to be

creative in any way.

This webinar is very relevant, especially in this era for it helps young adults to be wary

of using drugs and avoid having a drug addiction. I feel it is vital to demonstrate to the public

the dangers of illegal substances because I personally believe that the issue of drug addiction

must be addressed immediately in order for everyone to have an equal opportunity in life

The world is fighting with the idea of the bad things that have surged the lives of many. Including in
these

bad ideas are the drugs and vices that have made themselves comfortable in the lifestyle of a person

that is suffering. The webinar has taught me and opened my eyes about these issues that we seem to

take lightly because it has never happened to us yet but it is not the time to make changes in ourselves

to help our community and our country. the webinar has provided me with the knowledge that elevates
the idea of anti-drug abuse advocacy by backing it up with the problem we have in our country and how

our government exerts effort to gradually silence this stigma, the effects on it to the body, and who are
its

victims and why do they resort to it. Drug addiction has become a worldwide problem, especially among

teenagers. Many young people become dependent on different types of substances and stimulating

medicines that come hand-in-hand with a narcotic effect. The life of addicts becomes spoiled in all

aspects, as they lose contact with their family and live in a different world. They spend lots of money on

drugs and then look for ways to earn money illegally. If we compare the health problems, there are
many

dangerous effects of drugs.

The most disturbing thing about drug addiction is that people in different countries of the world are

becoming addicted to all kinds of drugs. There are different types of street drugs such as – cocaine,
meth,

marijuana, crack, heroin, etc. Heroin is one of the dangerous drugs that suppress your heart’s work and
is

appropriate to achieve the narcotic effects. The alarming rate of drug consumption has always been a

problem and has detrimental effects on society. Personal and family problems also lead to drug abuse

among youngsters who fail to deal with personal problems. The physiological effects of drug addiction
can

be difficult to endure and this is why the addict must be treated for their condition. The worst thing is
that

drugs are that they affect youth in every country of the world. The term drug not only means medicine
but

fatal narcotics with different specifications. These drugs have their evil effects on the mind and body
cells

of the addicts. The addict becomes dependent on the drug to a great extent that he/she cannot stop
using

it. Despite having full knowledge of its effects on health, addicts use it on a regular basis.

Drug addiction is basically a brain disease that changes the functioning of the brain. There is an

uncontrollable desire to consume drugs, as a result of which addicted people engage in compulsive

behavior to take drugs. The addicts find it impossible to control the intake of drugs, as a result of which

they fail to fulfill day-to-day responsibilities in an efficient manner. Drug addiction is also referred to as
drug dependency, as the addict develops a dependency on a particular substance.
